A.R.R.E.S.T. in St. Francois and Washington Counties

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop
C, Weldon Spring, has announced “Operation A.R.R.E.S.T”
(Alcohol Related Response Enforcement Strike Team.)
Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will take place in St. Francois
and Washington counties, beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday,
January 21, 2012. The operation will end at 3 a.m. on
Sunday, January 22, 2012.
Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will utilize six Missouri state
troopers to conduct this project. The six troopers have
been chosen because of their dedication and leadership
in removing intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways.
The purpose of Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. is to increase
the motoring public’s awareness of the potential hazards
of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition,
to maximize enforcement efforts in deterring impaired
driving, to remove intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways,
and to reduce fatalities and injuries through vigorous
enforcement of Missouri traffic laws.
